Whisky Focus - Win Prizes In The Benromach Online Advent Calendar

I am a few days late bringing this to your attention, but better late than never as they say. Benromach whisky lovers can look forward to a little Christmas magic this year as the Forres distillery has recently launched its own online advent calendar as it counts down the days to Christmas.

The distillery is offering whisky fans weekly opportunities to win prizes ranging from a bottle of the flagship Benromach 10 Year Old to a limited edition Benromach 20th Anniversary Bottling, worth £299, there’ll be an extra gift under the tree for a lucky few.

Packed with fun facts, helpful tips including opening times for tours over the festive season and insights into how Benromach is handcrafted; the countdown started on 1st December across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter with the #BenromachChristmasMagic.

Keith Cruickshank, Distillery Manager, explains: "We wanted to give something back to our loyal social media followers this Christmas who have supported us throughout the year and shared their Benromach moments. I am looking forward to spreading a little Christmas magic and sending out some early Christmas presents during our weekly competitions.

"The countdown is the final celebration in what has been an incredible 20th anniversary year for us all, celebrating two decades since the Urquhart family reopened Benromach Distillery in 1998.

"This year, we’ve hosted a record number of visitors, received 5-Star visitor attraction status from VisitScotland, released our first ever cask in aid of charitable causes and hosted the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival opening gala dinner to name just a few highlights. I’ve even learned how many reindeer would have to stand on top of each other to reach the height of our iconic 90 foot high chimney!"

To be in with a chance of winning a prize and to enjoy the Benromach countdown to Christmas, simply follow Benromach on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter (@Benromach) and use #BenromachChristmasMagic.
