Bladnoch
unveils the line-up for Bladnoch Wave
Day and announce the release of Bladnoch
Wave II single malt which will be
revealed on the day and available to
taste and buy at the distillery.

Bladnoch,
Scotland’s oldest privately-owned Scotch
whisky distillery, has revealed the
details for this summer’s highly
anticipated Wave Day, set to take place
on Saturday 14 June at the distillery
itself.
Wave Day is a one-day celebration of
Bladnoch’s bold Galloway spirit, its
rich history, and enduring heritage.
This year’s festival marks the official
launch of Bladnoch Wave II—the second
release in the Master Distiller’s
Collection, following the debut of Wave
I: Time & Maturation last year.
Whisky enthusiasts will have the first
chance to taste and purchase Wave II
exclusively at the distillery on the day
of the event. Remaining bottles will be
available through Bladnoch’s online shop
starting Monday 16 June.
Festivities kick off at 12 noon along
the lade at Bladnoch Distillery. Guests
can explore the distillery shop and
enjoy a full-service pop-up bar,
featuring Bladnoch’s renowned range of
Lowland single malts.
Event highlights include a live tasting
of Wave II led by Master Distiller Dr.
Nick Savage, and a unique immersive
theatre performance inspired by the
distillery’s story, brought to life by
Bladnoch’s UK Brand Ambassador, Mark
Rannoch.
Each guest who purchases a full-size
bottle of whisky on the day will also
receive a complimentary 50ml collectible
dram of Wave II, available for sampling
during the tasting or to take home.
A selection of food vendors will be on
site, offering options including vegan
and gluten-free fare. For those seeking
a quiet moment, the distillery garden
will be open as a peaceful retreat from
the lively main courtyard.
Live music will fill the air throughout
the day, beginning with folk musicians
from The Vault Arts Centre in Newton
Stewart and followed by
singer-songwriter Katie Mac, performing
beloved hits from across the decades.
The celebration continues on Sunday 15
June, with a limited Wave Tour of the
distillery. These bespoke experiences
offer a deeper insight into Bladnoch’s
craft and whisky-making artistry, and
are available to pre-book for 11am, 1pm,
or 3pm via the Bladnoch website.
Dr Nick Savage, Master Distiller at
Bladnoch Distillery, said: "Wave Day is
one of the highlights of our calendar
year, and it’s a privilege to host this
festival of our bold Galloway spirit.
"This is a time to gather, celebrate and
enjoy some incredible whisky,
particularly Wave II – as we unveil the
next instalment in our exciting annual
release series. We look forward to
welcoming Bladnoch fans from near and
far through the distillery doors this
summer, to discover more about how we
make our exceptional single malt
whisky."
Dating back to 1817, Bladnoch Distillery
is one of the oldest single malt Scotch
whisky producers in the world and is
enjoying a bold and powerful revival.
