Clydeside
Distillery unveils Fortnight, its first
Peated Whisky.

Clydeside Distillery in Glasgow has
revealed the debut of its first-ever
peated expression. Called Clydeside
Fortnight, the whisky takes its name
from the two-week period each year when
peated spirit is crafted at the
distillery. It now joins Clydeside’s
range and becomes available to the
public from today.
Produced using water sourced from Loch
Katrine, 100% Scottish barley malted
with Highland peat, and aged for over
six years in premium oak casks,
Fortnight is bottled at 46% ABV, with no
added colour and non-chill filtered to
maintain its authentic character.
The whisky is said to open with aromas
of gentle smoke layered with stone fruit
and vanilla. On the palate, bright
citrus and heather honey emerge, leading
to a finish rich in warm spice and
lingering peat.
"Fortnight captures an exciting moment
of contrast in our annual calendar, and
brings a new peated dimension to our
classic Lowland style that we’ve been
eager to explore," said Distillery
Manager Alistair McDonald. "This whisky
has been a labour of love, produced with
the same unwavering attention and
precision as every drop we distil, and
we’re delighted to finally share it with
the world."
Fortnight represents a major step
forward for Clydeside, underscoring the
distillery's growing reputation in
whisky making. Its release follows the
success of Clydeside Velvet Odyssey, a
limited-edition bottling launched in
June in collaboration with independent
venue SWG3 to mark its 20th anniversary.
Clydeside’s established core range
features Stobcross, a combination of
bourbon and sherry casks, and Napier,
named after Robert Napier—the "Father of
Clyde Shipbuilding"—and matured entirely
in Oloroso sherry casks.
