Compass Box
recreate the Compass Box Eleuthera but
at a price.
 The
Lost Blend is a new limited edition
blended malt release from innovative Scotch Whisky
Creator Compass Box. The Compass Box
Lost Blend is a marriage of three single
malts, namely Clynelish, Allt-a-Bhainne
and 20% peated Caol Ila Islay single
malt, the new whisky is a recreation of
their long lost Compass Box Eleuthera whisky which
was released in the early days of the
Compass Box whisky company, Compass Box
tell me the whisky boasts the same
unique smoky fruity style which I hope
is true as I thought very highly of the
Compass Box Eleuthera.
Apparently it has taken over 10 years
of searching by whiskymaker
John Glaser the man behind Compass Box, to track down the unique
whiskies he required to recreate Eleuthera. The
10 year search is over now and the result
of Johns search is the Compass Box The Lost
Blend.
The Lost Blend was bottled at 46% and packaged in a
gift box adorned with ‘lost items,’ it
will be priced at $120 in the US, £85 in
the UK and $100 in Europe.
I am looking forward to getting my hands
on a bottle of this myself as I have a
sample of the original Eleuthera in my
whisky archive and it would be very
interesting to see how they
compare, I really hope that they do
compare.
For those of you interested in the new Compass Box The Lost Blend, it will be available from
this month in the US, UK, Europe and all
key international Compass Box markets.
So if you don't normally see Compass Box
in your local whisky specialist shop you
probably wont find this release their
either.
