set to unveil the YUKARI Collection.

Dhavall Gandhi is set to embark on an
exciting new journey in 2025 with the
launch of the YUKARI Collection. In
Japanese, "YUKARI" signifies
connection—often used to describe deep
bonds between people, places, and
traditions.
Renowned for his visionary approach and
unparalleled expertise, Dhavall has
shaped an extraordinary career, from his
award-winning work with The Macallan to
pioneering The Lakes Distillery’s
acclaimed house style. His eponymous
firm, DHAVALL GANDHI, is revered as the
"haute couture" of the whisky world.
Passionate about cultural
sustainability, he founded KANDOBLANC to
preserve and promote endangered heritage
art forms. The Maison’s debut creation,
AGA, was unveiled at the prestigious
Distiller’s One of One auction in 2023,
setting two world records and marking
Dhavall’s entry as an artistic director.
The YUKARI Collection will feature three
one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by
Japanese art and cultural icons, each
showcasing a rare heritage craft
technique and an exceptionally rare
single malt whisky at its heart. With
the same meticulous craftsmanship that
defines his work, Dhavall has carefully
selected these whiskies to weave
narratives of tradition, identity, and
resilience—elements that shape the rich
fabric of human culture.
Dhavall shared, “KANDOBLANC was founded
on the principle of harmony—creating an
equal dialogue between diverse arts and
cultures while serving as a guardian of
artistic heritage. Following in the
footsteps of AGA, the YUKARI Collection
represents our unwavering commitment to
this mission.”
The first piece in the YUKARI Collection
will be donated to The Worshipful
Company of Distillers and The
Distiller’s Charity for auction at the
Distiller’s One of One event in October,
with all proceeds benefiting charities
that support disadvantaged young people
in Scotland. The remaining pieces will
be available for private acquisition
through KANDOBLANC.
For those of you not familiar with the
The Distiller’s One of One auction, it
is a prestigious biennial charity event
that showcases rare and collectible
whiskies from the finest distilleries.
Organised by The Worshipful Company of
Distillers in partnership with
Sotheby’s, the auction features
one-of-a-kind whisky creations, with all
proceeds supporting charities that help
disadvantaged young people in Scotland.
Since its inception, the event has
raised millions for educational and
vocational initiatives, making it a
cornerstone of philanthropy in the
whisky industry.
