A quick one
for the whisky cocktail lovers amongst you, a
Fettercairn 1824 Martini which has the
Fettercairn 16 Year Old at its heart.
I often get sent whisky cocktail recipes
and I thought I would share this one
with you, from Fettercairn Highland
Scotch Malt Whisky.
If you are looking for a crisp new
cocktail this autumn? They tell me that
the Fettercairn 1824 Martini offers a
sophisticated twist on a cult classic,
making it an ideal choice for dinner
parties.
It is a modern take on the timeless Old
Fashioned — without the mixer — this
serve is said to highlight the whisky’s
tropical fruit notes with subtle accents
of golden citrus, rich honey, and
warming seasonal spices. Topped with a
crown of Crémant sparkling wine, it
delivers a vibrant, elegant finish
that’s perfect for autumn entertaining.
To prepare the Fettercairn 1824 Martini
at home combine the following:
- 37.5ml
Fettercairn 16 Year Old
- 12.5ml
kumquat liqueur
- 10ml
Fettercairn honey syrup
- 15ml lemon
juice
- 4 dashes
banana & coffee bitters
Shake all
ingredients vigorously with ice, then
fine strain into a chilled Champagne
coupe. Top with Crémant sparkling wine
and finish with a fresh lemon twist for
a touch of elegance. Serve in a
well-chilled Martini glass for a refined
presentation.
