Fielden
Whisky—known for their English Rye
whisky and their roots in regenerative
farming—will be a key partner of this
year’s Groundswell Festival, the UK’s
leading event for regenerative
agriculture and sustainable land
management. As part of the
collaboration, Fielden will co-host two
headline banquets with Groundswell,
honouring the land, its stewards, and
the harvest it yields.
Held on 2–3 July 2025 at Lannock Farm,
Hertfordshire, Groundswell is a
cornerstone of the regenerative farming
movement. Created by farmers, for
farmers, the festival brings together
growers, environmentalists, food
producers, and changemakers to explore
the future of farming. Now in its ninth
year, it features over 400 speakers and
200 sessions, offering deep dives into
both the philosophy and practice of
regenerative systems and Conservation
Agriculture.
The partnership with Fielden—a English
whisky brand on a mission to transform
British farming—reflects a shared
dedication to soil health, biodiversity,
and responsible land stewardship.
Fielden is reimagining whisky-making
with one core belief: whisky is an
agricultural product, and how it’s grown
matters.
Rejecting industrial methods like
chemical inputs, heavy tillage, and
monocultures, Fielden embraces a "No
Chem Regen" approach. Their grains are
grown in living soils, alongside
nitrogen-fixing clover, without the use
of synthetic chemicals and with minimal
soil disturbance. The result: thriving
ecosystems and whisky rich in character.
This regenerative method supports
healthier soils, cleaner waterways,
resilient crops, and a smaller carbon
footprint—proof that great whisky starts
in the field.
"Groundswell represents the future of
food and farming in the UK. It’s where
progressive ideas take root. We’re proud
to support that mission and bring
Fielden’s own vision of soil-first
spirits to the heart of the community
driving it forward." Dave Smith, Fielden
CEO.
Fielden Whisky will be the exclusive
alcohol partner of Groundswell Festival
2025. As the only whisky featured at the
event, Fielden will run a one-of-a-kind
whisky bar and host tastings and
discussions at its dedicated
stand—diving into the connection between
soil health, grain diversity, and
regenerative farming. Festival-goers
will also find Fielden as the sole
whisky served at The Earthworm Arms, the
festival’s central bar.
Kicking off the celebrations, Fielden
will host a special two-night
banquet—FEASTING FROM FIELD TO TABLE—on
1st and 2nd July. Curated in
collaboration with food collective Salsa
Rosa, this intimate, ticketed evening
experience invites guests to gather in a
beautifully styled setting within the
festival grounds.
Each evening will feature a guided
whisky tasting led by Fielden’s Whisky
Maker, Chico Rosa, followed by a
seasonal three-course feast that
highlights the work of regenerative
farmers and producers. Guests will hear
directly from the growers and makers
behind each dish and dram, exploring how
Fielden’s diverse, soil-first
grains—heritage, organic, and low-input
varieties—can drive both flavour and
farming resilience.
Tickets are £70 + VAT per person,
including drinks and a full three-course
meal, and are available exclusively to
Groundswell Festival ticket holders.
