A couple of drams of the Irsh single pot still Powers Johns Lane 12 year old and now a Glenlivet Nadurra to finish off.

I hope you enjoy your day an i am sure you will enjoy the Port Ellen, those 2 bottlings are very rare to come by now. Whats the price on them out of interest.

Caol ila 12 and now one of my favorites Ardbeg Uigeadail :topmaltArdbeg UIgeadail, i would say is one of my all time favourite whiskies.

Personally i have had a few bottles of Port Ellen, both original distillery bottlings and independent bottlings mainly from Douglas Laing and i have never been disappointed, such a shame ...

A few drams tonight started with excellent Ballantines 17 blend then Glenlivet 18, Dalwhinnie 15 and just poured a Laphroaig Quarter Cask

Excellent news about the Port Charlotte and Octomore 10 to come, great to have another big peated Islay to choose from that hopefully will be a decent affordable everyday drinking price.

I stick mainly to original distillery bottlings and i have never come across any sulphur tainted whisky but perhaps i am just not sensitive to it.

Good old fairy liquid does it for me also then dried with a glass cloth and comes out odour free.

I dont find the smell from the glass next morning offensive at all but my wife does and long may it remain that way, 2 of us with a taste for expensive malt whisky Shocked

It is amazing how power ...
