If he likes the peaty/smoky without the medicinal nose and taste then try The Bowmore darkest 15, it still has a good amount of peat and smoke with a nice sherry sweetness.

The offer is running till the 24th in both of my local Sainsbury's but unfortunately they only have the Speyside and the Highland although at £14.71 it's still a good price
