I've still got a bottle of the older style packaging that I was given as a wedding present in 2006.
And I received a bottle of the newer style for my 40th birthday in 2009, whcih I drank, and loved. |

| The oldest I had was a bottle of 40 year old Longmorn Glenlivet 1963, which I opened for my 40th birthday a few years back. One of the best I've ever tasted. Only got the empty bottle to remind me! |

| It is. It's organised by The Whisky Lounge and this is the 4th year. All the usaual suspect were there. I'm really looking forward to it. It mean I only need to travel 10 miles too. |

The 2012 Newcastle Whisky Festival has been brought forward from May to 11th of February for some reason. And thankfully no Groupon tickets this year as it was packed back in May.
