Has anyone come across any fakes? - I did!

I purchased a bottle of 10 year Glenmorangie from a local off-license.

The packaging and bottle complete with foil wrap around the cork was immaculate ...

Just finished a bottle - I thought it was quite nice - definate immediate sherry hit.

Can't say I found anything dislikable but nothing outstanding either - not as good as the 18 year old but it' ...

To be honest, I have have dropped the Balvenie Doublewood from my shopping list - just find it flat and one dimensional.

My favourites so far ( under £50 ) are Glenfiddich Solera 15, Glenmorang ...

A friend has recently purchased a spirit aerator / enhancer and lent it to me for an evening.

His opinion was that it smoothed and improved the whisky. I put a glass of 12 year Highland Park thro ...

Had a glass off Glenfiddich 15 Solera for the first time in a while today - It was as nice, if not better perhaps than the 21 year old - 2 different finishes I know.

Just a question to you all:

How often do you have a dram and how much?

I tend to do half a bottle in 2 nights - my girlfriend likes it as much as me so we do a bottle in 2 nights together. On ...

Though I enjoyed Lagavulin 16, I am moving away from islay malts though I have just enjoyed a hint of peat in the Highland P ...

Thanks everyone, has anyone made a comparison between this and the 18 year old?

I believe the two are both finished in sherry casks?

Thank you all again. I have to agree, I enjoyed the 15 Glenfiddich as much as the rum-finished 21 year old.

Hi again all,

My oldest and most expensive malt was a 21 year old Glennfidich.

I wouldn't buy again for the price paid £83.

Does old age in a malt always necessarily mean a better, tas ...

I have enjoyed th ...
