Laughing Laughing Laughing I had this happen to me once, i bought a bottle with my shopping in Tesco and when i got home i found the girl at the checkout hadnt removed the security tag, i didnt notice as i was busy packing my shopping at the time. The funny thing was the alarm went off on the way out the door but i assumed it was someone else setting it off, but none stopped me. I discovered the tag when i got home, I could not be bothered returning to the shop with it, but it was a tricky bugger to get off with a pair of cutters.

Can you imagine pouring a dram for a guest at home from a bottle with the security tag on it Laughing

I once bought a bottle of Glenlivet 18 in Tesco and when i got to the checkout the girl took the bottle out the box to remove the tag and i spotted that in fact it was a bottle of 12 year old in the box. It made me very warey and i always check now when shopping in the supermarkets.

After hacking away at it with a pair or electrical side cutters it came away.

I did have a taste, in fact i am drinking it now and it is very good, sweet and bitter at the same time, the Glemorangie sweet honeyed floral character is interlaced with lemon tart and a bit of spice. Very happy with my bargain, just going to pour myself another Top Malt
