I agree with how others are seeing this event.
So in reality the 10ml dram of Cadenheads 22yo 1957 Highland Park at £14 Jonny McM mentions will effectively be £28 given the £50 entry fee. Also why is this guy coming on here posting links to his event and referring to other forum members opinions as silly and churlish.
We don't need a "good way" to think about pricing, we should already know what the prices of all bottles listed are. All prices of all drams should be posted now.
Too much trying to justify what the prices are going to be instead of actually just posting the prices. |

| Just an observation but looking at Jonny McMs profile he has never really been an active member here and has only ever really posted on here to promote whatever his latest whisky venture is. Would it be CHURLISH of me to say Jonny McM really does think members here are SILLY. |

| Just an observation. I went into the whisky shop in London yesterday and the stand offishment was incredible so much so my missus mentioned it. Their view (and it would appear that of TWE), is that actually they don't feel the need to 'work' for sales as there's queues of people waiting to take your place and you should feel privileged that we're actually doing you a favour. So pay your money and don't ask questions. |

I have only been in the TWE shop once and felt like I had leprosy, I was actually their looking to buy something special way out of my usual price range but ended up buying it somewhere else and I won't step foot in the TWE shop again or buy from them online. |

Well said Forbes.
So for your £100 ticket price you would get to taste 4 X 10ml samples of whisky if priced around the same price as the Cadenheads 22yo 1957 Highland Park example. So 40ml of whisky for £100 which isn't even what I would consider a double whisky which would be 50ml.
The prices should be revealed immediately not just the alluring line up of whiskies, so that ticket buyers know what they will get for their money and also know how much more it could cost them on the day of the event.

I would guess he is probably very young, he has probably read a lot of whisky books and perhaps even thinks he is some kind of Scotch whisky expert now. I wouldn't be surprised if he is from some type of journalism, media or sales background, chasing a career in whisky. He has never been active here on this forum probably because he is not an genuine whisky enthusiast, it is likely a job for him, he probably works for the industry or is trying to. |

| What I noticed (unless I am missing something) is there is no mention of food included at the Glasgow whisky show, it will be a long day from 11.30am-6.30pm without food and drinking whisky. Isn't it norm to provide some sort of food to soak up the whisky at an event taking place over so many hours. |

Good point, strange if they are not making food available for such a long session.
I will just add my agreement that they should have really made the pricing of drams information available straight off the bat so tickets buyers know what to expect, I am sure it isn't quite going to be the rare old experience some are expecting but should be a superb event if you take along plenty of money. |
