The other"spirit" tastes of single malt folk

I love trying new stuff. Problem is I get quite nerdy about it and try and get immersed into it. Rum is something that hands down is a spirit I think is better than whisky and there’s more variety (agricole and mollases based) with very similar notes. My favorite distillery in the world is Foursquare, exceptional releases each and every time.

I opened a bottle of Clarendon single cask rum the other day and it was easily the best thing I have tasted for months, if not years.

I’m off to Italy this week so will be looking to try some aged grappa. I’m also been meaning to get into mescal as production methods look very artisan and unique to each brand.
