Ardbeg have got back to be with an OFFICIAL answer for the question of how many bottles are in the Rollercoaster release.
There are Officially 15000 Bottles in the Rollercoaster Release.
They also tell me that they have no plan for a wider general release so there will only be a Committee release of the Ardbeg Rollercoaster.
For those of you who still havent had any success on the website I thinks others are having success phoning. Here is a couple of numbers:
01496 302244 or 01496 302236
I also asked if there was going to be another release of Ardbeg Supernova in 2010? If so did they have an estimate when this will be. Unfortunately the person i spoke to was not privy to this information but told me to keep my fingers crossed as you never know what the Ardbeg team will pull out of the bag!
Good luck getting through to Ardbeg |

I bagged a couple of bottles over the phone not heard of anyone having any online success.
Cheers for the phone numbers Willam, it was the second number i had success with.
Good to finally know officially how many bottles are in the release also that there wont be a general release.
I am happy now but surely these releases can be organised better. |

I just got through on the phone . Stll cant believe you cannot get on the website 6 hours later. Ardbegs website server capability must be way under spec for what they tried to do with this release, someone should get there a**e kicked for this. |

Just got this through from Ardbeg:
We would like to apologise for the momentous bottleneck at ardbeg.com/rollercoaster this morning, as we unleashed this thrilling Anniversary dram on the world.
Having cranked up the suspense about Rollercoaster, the buzz has been gathering pace. And at 9am, an unprecedented 25,000 Committee Members - that's half of you - simultaneously attempted to squeeze through the doors of the website.
As a result, everything has temporarily come to a standstill as we try to rectify the problem. Please hold tight. We will send you another email as soon as we're up and running again.

They have got to have known this was bound to have happened, they set it up for thousands of people to hit the Ardbeg server all at once. Nice bit of publicity they have gotten themselves - Whisky popularity crashes website!!!
Like others i am still having no success accessing the shop over 12 yours later.
It is worse than the queues for the rollercoaster in Disney World Florida in the peak of the summer, at least they queues are only a couple of hours long. |

| Just tried it, the site seems to be accessible now, probably the time of night, although very slow, a minute or two for a page to load. I think i will leave it until tomorrow. |

| I thought i had it there, got half way through the checkout process then got all these computer error codes which stated was due to high traffic. Close but no cigar or whisky. I give up, off to bed. |
