I'd say 500 too, 70 bottles available 15 for the distillery doesn't leave too many elsewhere. This forum seems to be the only place where people are admitting getting one, but presume there must be a few people on various forums who have one but are keeping quiet.

Now £330 and reserve not made! talk about being a greedy seller!
That will be roughly £80 profit (AT LEAST) in 10 days !! |

| I would have loved a bottle as i do think it will do very well but i couldnt justify spending anymore on whisky for the collection at the moment, trying to be good and stick to buying whisky to drink only but seeing this post has me full of regret. |

I've got a few bottles that haven't arrived from 3 weeks ago inlcuding one from ebay, I'm not thinking the selling hasn't posted just yet, but there is no communication from him!
Anyway the Bowmore arrived in my office this afternoon while I was out, perhaps will upload pictures when I get a moment. It will do well I think if reselling but this is for the collection, I hadn't fully realised (although I did know) that this is the first in the vintage series, so hopefully they won't release too many or I may be bankrupt.

Has any one noticed that there seems to be 2 different types of packaging for this bottle??

Also the plaques are different 1 blue 1 gold!!

Interesting, I wonder why they are different? Maybe the earlier numbers have the copper (gold) plaque and later ones have the blue plaque.
The one on eBay is at £350 now and still hasn't hit reserve

The bidding seems to have stopped at £360 (reserve still not met) but no doubt it will rise quite substantially toward the end.
JAB, have you found out anything from your contact at Bowmore about the different packaging yet?

| I know sometimes packaging can alter from the time the marketing shots are taken and when they actually bottle and package the whisky to be sold, i wonder if that explains the difference in packaging on this ocassion. |

£800
That is ridiculous!!!
I saw that the other one had moved a bit but I think it will soar at the end.
