Yesterday I was invited along to the the launch of 'Eat Scottish Venison Day 2010' at the Glengoyne Distillery. What is 'Eat Scottish Venison Day' you may ask - well its focus is designed to prompt chefs, caterers and food service companies, retail buyers and yourself to think about Scottish venison, to encourage them to ask for it.
Scottish Venison Day is tomorrow Saturday 4th September and there are a number of special activities taking place throughout the UK. To read more about the launch, the health benefits of Scottish venison and for a list of special activities this Saturday see here:

| I am sure the venison and glengoyne sausages were good. I have always enjoyed venison myself, it certain should be eaten more not least for its health benefits it is a quality meat. I think many people do see it as a gourmet meat. |

| I have to say not my normal breakfast but the sausages went down very nicely as i had an early start to get to the distillery and had skipped breakfast. It certainly opened my eyes to the health benefits of venison as is one of the main purposes of Eat Scottish Venison Day. |
