I still have a bottle of the first one unopened so i think i will pick up the SN2010 as it will be interesting to compare it to the first one some time. If it wasnt for the pricing i would have had a few bottles.

It had slipped my mind that the new Ardbeg Supernova was getting released til i read this post. Mark, I wish i still had a bottle of the the first release but my bottle is well gone, would have been nice to compare both side by side. I know a lot of people moan about Ardbeg prices sometimes but i cant resist having a bottle of this as i am just a sucker for the peated whisky and with a description of "the peatiest Ardbeg ever"? how can i say no.

I have heard the usual moans about the pricing of the new Supernova sn2010 but they are the same moans i heard last year and that was a great bottling of ardbeg IMO and as far as i can make out the sn2010 is as good as last years so i know what i am getting for my money. I think i will add a bottle to my next whisky order

I have read comments on other sites declaring this to be young and not worth the money, maybe it isnt to some but to me that is a personal choice. Personally i loved last years Supernova and will get myself a bottle of the new sn2010. If it had been cheaper i suspect i would have bought a few bottles. I believe the Supernova is to be an ongoing bottling with a new release each year which is good as it may stop the price shooting up.

If it is always available i am sure it will deter the profiteers who buy up all the stock as this must inflate the price.

Being not worth the money is a matter of personal choice. I knew this bottle was being released. Although sore on the pocket i knew how much it would be but i had last years bottle of SN so i wanted this years bottle as i love Ardbeg and this is a great expression of it. I had been good lately and had not bought much whisky so i got 2 bottles.
I tried it side by side with last years bottling last night and would say it is every bit as good and more.
