JAB you done well getting a bottle of the Bowmore Feis Ile 25 year old, i heard some queued from the early hours of the morning just to get a hold of this. Are you planning on drinking it as i think it will fetch a premium price in the not too distant future.

Yes if you wanted to get a bottle of this then you had to Q up in the early hours to get yourself a ticket (This garanteed you a bottle when the shop started selling them at 10am) I herd some people started Qing at 1am
later i was told that only 60 where alocated for public sale.
NO i will not be opening mine i am afraid because -
1 it is selling for £200 + more than i payed for it, (be alot more in years to come)
2 I magaged to get a taste of it on the day.
The 25yo feis ile in my opion is someting special, it noses like a clasic bowmore with the smokyness, but with a hint of the sea air coming through. This might have something to do with being matured in number 1 vaults.
The taste of this is amazing, it does have the clasic bowmore smoky tatse but it is different and hard to describe. it tatses of nuts (hazelnut & coconut), zesty citrus almost peppery flavour with a slight bitter chocolate tatse,
It is very paletable and just sits in you mouth on your palate. |
