William, good to hear that Glendronach is doing well, they certainly deserve it as i think the Glendronach 15 Revival (very aptly named) and the Glendronach 12 Double Cask are very good indeed. I wouldnt mind trying the new Port finish you mention.

You mention oodbins in the article but cant see any Glendronach in the malts or speyside category on the oddbins site.

I agree Calder the new bottlings from the new owners are a big improvement from what used to come out of Glendronach.

If you visit Oddbins website then select Spirits > Whiisky you will find the GlenDronach 15 year old Revival or simply do a search for Glendronach, not sure why they havent got it listed under Malts > Speyside

I was able to taste the new wood finishes yesterday. James Cowan had some cask samples, so they were higher strength than the actual bottles, but I've got a good idea after adding a few drops of water.

Alistair Walker mentions the 1978 world cup and Scotlands mad optimism, i was just a school boy at the time but it is the world cup i will remember the most and like others i truely believed Scotland was going to win it.

Mac i am sure you will be supporting the USA this evening Wink
