Whisky Forum - Which whisky as a present?

Hello

I'd like to buy my boyfriend a really good, vintage malt whisky as an engagement present and spend about Â£200-£250. He loves whisky but I'm completely clueless and am overwhelmed by the amount of choice. Could you please suggest a couple? Many thanks in advance!

Kathryn, if you take a look to see which whisky he has or if you know which whisky brands he drinks we could make some good suggestions based on that.

I take it your engagement was this year (or is going to be) so perhaps a whisky which has been bottled in 2010 would be good to mark the engagement.

Congratulations on your your engagement Kathryn. I would suggest the Glenfiddich 30 year old which was bottled in 2010, a very good whisky and as i said bottled in 2010 and comes in a very attractive wooden case. They have it at The Whisky Exchange for Â£210 so within your budget.

I would suggest the Highland Park 30 year old which is Â£189 at TWE at present, excellent whisky and looks great as a special gift in its wooden case.
