I have an unopened bottle of Antiquary whisky - I've no idea exactly how old it is but there is a similar looking bottle on the Internet which says it is bottled in the 1950s. Mine is still in the box and is as follows -
The "Antiquary" De Luxe Old Scotch Whisky - Contents measured 26 2/3 fl ozs and is 7o proof which may help date it.
The picture on the box and bottle is of a man in 1700s dress reaching into a cupboard for the bottle with a glass in his hand saying "At last I've found it" On the back of the box he is sitting down drinking it and the words "The pleasure this rare whisky brings will repay the effort necessary to obtain it"
Does anyone have any idea how much this would be worth?
My guesstimate would be around £100 to as much as £200 but thats just my guess. i would recommend contacting the specialist auctions who deal in rare & collectable whisky such as Mctears in Glasgow or Bonhams in Edinburgh. They will take a look at it and give you a value estimate. You can even email them pics of the bottle for an estimate.

Many thanks - I'll do that. The bottle on the site I looked at is £199 so I think you're probably right. I'll contact McTears or Bonhams to see what they think.
