|
|
On September 23rd 2010 at 7.00pm UK time Laphroaig will be holding a live internet Laphroaig broadcast from the Harvey's bodegas in Jerez, Spain. They will be sampling some special Laphroaig expressions as well as some matured exclusively in Sherry barrels.
During the show they will be comparing classic bourbon matured Laphroaig - in this case Quarter Cask, with three other Laphroaig expressions. Their new Triple Wood which enjoys its third maturation in Spanish Oak, their cask strength 25 year old which uses both Fino and Oloroso sherry Butts in its maturation and a very special third, exclusively Oloroso matured expression - but you will have to watch the programme to find out more about this one!
More about it here:

Or visit www.laphroaig.com/live on Thursday September 23rd at 7.00pm UK time

I wont be able to tune into the live show but i assume their will be a recording to watch later.
I do think out of the big peated Islay whiskies i do think Laphroaig does marry well with sherry. |

Cheers for the reminder William, i wish i had a bottle of the Triple Wood to drink while watching the broadcast.
Mac i agree out of the big peaty Islays the peaty Laphroaig does combine very well with sherry. |

| Innes they did have the Triple wood available in the Laphroaig shop for a while but they have sold out of it. Unfortunately it is exclusive to duty free but you will find it over at The Whisky Exchange for £67 |

I liked the look of the 30 year old they havent bottled yet, it looked like a right sherry monster, very dark. I am sure it was delicious, a big sherried laphroaig. |

| An enjoyable broadcast once again. I liked the look of the oloroso sherry matured whisky they intend to release in another 5 years time when it is 35 years old for the Laphroaig 200th anniversary. |
