I'm hoping someone might have even an inkling of the value of this bottle (I'll add a photo soon if I work out how): The Blender's Reserve Extra Special Blended Scotch Whisky, 40%, no date, no location, numbered (by hand) bottle no. 4. I am certain that it has never been available for sale commercially.
The label says it is a unique blend "by 10 of Scotland's premier whisky companies from Distilleries within every Scotch Whisky producing region." I happen to know the 10 distilleries, because the formal personnel exchanges and workshops that aimed to make these ten distilleries more cooperative was ultimately filmed by my wife (3 or 4 years ago). She and her crew each got a bottle. To my horror, she got bottle no. 4 and let the cameraman get away with no. 1!
The event was hailed as a great success by all who took part, and the label records that the whisky was "distilled in recognition of the positive partnership between these companies." But the bottle tells another tale of true "reserve", for the distilleries were unwilling to name themselves. Indeed, I know at least one of the "premier whisky companies" that refused to take part in the whole affair.
We intend to keep it as a curiosity. But could it have any value (especially if that cameraman has already drunk his bottle!)?

That does sound an interesting and unique bottle but i think very difficult to put a price on. I assume it is a blended malt and not a blend of malt and grain whisky.

Is their anymore info on the label?

Yes very difficult to put a value on without knowing what is in the bottle, age, abv and even then how do you prove to a potential buyer what is in the bottle. It does sound a very interesting bottle.

The thought process to this bottling is similar the the Ilay Pillage bottlings which sold out really fast and sell quite well on the secondary market. I know someone who got a 2003 one for £280. But I don't know whether that is a good price or not but may help you with a valuation.

The Pillage bottles are from the famous Islay (Jura?) ditilleries, if the distilleries in your bottling were known at point of sale and they are desirable ones I could see interest in this certainly being not to far off the above price.

Would love to see a picture of the bottle if you can upload one.
