Always good to have another event to go to within travelling distance and looks like a decent line up of exibitors so far.

I agree Charlie especially as it is looking like Whisky Live Glasgow is not happening this year. Has Whisky Live Glasgow been dropped, no mention on there website which is really bad IMO, even just to say it is no longer.

I suspect Whisky Live Glasgow has just crawled into a corner and died, but i may be wrong. It is a poor show that they do not even mention it on there website.

So what is the booking and postage fee butephoto, do you know as i can simply buy tickets from the Arches box office when i am in the city centre.

I believe the booking fee is for credit cards (£1.50) so I don't think it should cost you anything extra to buy it in person from the box office with cash. I'll double-check!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The £1.50 booking fee is for credit cards only from The Arches. Cash in person is £15 and that's all.

Yes you would think whisky live would have some mention of what has happened to this event, quite a poor show by the organisers of whisky live.

Looks like we now have the brand new Glasgow Whisky Festival to fill the gap. Hopefully they will show WL how it should be done.

The Spencerfield Spirit Company have been added to the list and a couple more will be added this week. Thanks for the support!

I had to look up the Spencerfield Spirit Company to see who they are - they producer of Sheep Dip and Pigs Nose whisky in case anyone else wondered who they are.

butephoto you seem to have gathered together a decent line up of whiskies so far, looking forward to it.

I like the timing of this event as i am normally looking for some ideas around this time of year for which whiskies to treat myself to at christmas.

Sorry, forgot to mention their brands! Our main intention is to include as many as possible from the little guys right up to Diageo.

That was one of the reasons for the date we eventually chose.

We've now added The Tweeddale Blend to the line-up:

Also, there's an interview with my colleague Bill in the current edition of WhiskyCast (250). Oh, and Alasdair, who is behind the aforementioned blend, is also interviewed.
