Kilchoman 2007 / Bourbon Cask for The Whisky Show
This is availible from TWE for £64.95 http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/P-12993.aspx
Kilchoman 2007 / Bourbon Cask for The Whisky Show
70cl / 61.4%
Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling
A remarkably mature 2007 Kilchoman bottled for The Whisky Show 2010. Delicious notes of orange marmalade on a quite medicinal palate. An essential for Islayphiles. At this strength, a few drops of water is advisable.
Tasting Notes by Tim F
N: Coal and white chocolate, then bitter orange marmalade and burnt wet wood. Develops medicine cabinet aromas and Fishermens Friends, before wet wool, creosote and tarry rope.
P: Initially sweet, then the tarry rope and sooty notes come through along with bitter orange liqueur. Quite palatable for a whisky over 60% abv. Water makes it even more drinkable, lifting the phenols and revealing a liquorice note.
F: Fairly short but very pleasing. Spices and lingering orange notes. |

This is the price it was initially released for wasn't it? I'll have a think and hope some is around in the morning if I decide I fancy one.
JAB like the sig pic, could do with more. . . and your address and date of your next holiday.

| I have had a taste of this one, a decent young whisky, but if it is for drinking pleasure you can get much better for your money but a good one to stick away in the collection. |

| Yes it is the same as the rest of the kilchomans expensive and young for drinking, but good for the collection so this bottle will be joining my other 7 bottles in My collection! |

I started out with the intention of collecting all from Kilchoman but then started drinking it, what can i say i couldnt resist. Good indication of things to come though, so i would guess the early bottles will turn out to be a good buy unless you open them like me |

inaugural, autumn 2009, spring 2010, Feis ile 2010, summer 2010, , winter 2010 Where all availible from the distillery,
But others like Royal Mile Whiskies and Kilchoman 2007 / Bourbon Cask for The Whisky Show release are only availible from special retailers but still offical distillery bottlings.
Appart from the ones mentioned above there are also a few private single casks bottled by kilchoman such as " 2007/334 for Belgium, 2007/120 for the Netherlands, 2007/211 for the Netherlands 2 and others! |

Best listing I can find for all the releases is the whiskybase website.

| Just had a look on whiskybase, if it is accurate Kilchoman have released 40 bottlings to date, i would never have guessed that many but a few of them have been bottled for tastings. |
