Just one for curiosity - does anyone ahve any idea where one would pick up a second hand pot still and what kind of cost would one be?

I have heard of distillers buying them from distilleries that have been shut down and decommissioned. For example, when Murray McDavid bought Bruichladdich, Mark Reynier and Jim McEwan bought a number of second hand stills (as well as a lot of other distillery equipment) from the now defunct Inverleven distillery in the Dumbarton grain whisky complex.

I suppose the price would depend on the size and condition of the still but i wouldnt think it would be cheap.
