Hi there
I have been raising money for Kidney kids Scotland and have been kindly given a bottle of this whisky:
The Famous Grouse, specially created 37 year old blended malt whisky, signifying every year of Burns' extraordinary life. Only 250 bottles made and none for the retail market. Think most of them were auctioned for charity.
Scottish artist John Byrne was commissioned to create an original drawing of Robert Burns to adorn this limited edition whisky, making it a unique collector's item.
In 2009 they were worth £400. Any idea how much we could get for this privately or in a proper whisky auction.

These bottles were sold at charity auctions at Burns Suppers during 2009, Burns 250 anniversary year. I believe many bottles fetched well over the £400 valuation because it was for charity.
Does Kidney kids Scotland have such charity dinners where you could auction it.
It is difficult to put a value on now as i have never seen one come up for sale but i would guess many where drunk therefore increasing its value.
Have you tried contacting Mctears in Glasgow or Bonhams in Edinburgh who specialise in whisky auction sales. They may be able to advise you better as to its current value and they may even be willing to auction it for free if you ask them as it is for charity. |

| I havent seen one of these come up for sale since there release in 2009. I wouldnt like to misguide you on the price besides as you are selling your bottle in aid of charity it is likely to fetch in excess of its actual value i would think. i think it would be best to contact one of the auctioneers Keith mentions |
