| I did find it strange when Bowmore told me about these 2 events, that it would the Bowmore Tempest Batch 2 they would be serving but they said that batch 3 wouldnt be released until October. I am going along to the event at the Malmaison on the 22nd Sept, it should be a good night and the Tempest is a great dram whatever batch you taste. |

Unfortunately the event on the 8th Sept at the Hotel Du Vin has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. They are looking to reschedule it though, date still TBC.
The event at the Malmaison on the 22nd Sept is still going ahead. |

Going by what Bowmore has told William and given that Bowmore have taken a full page advert out in Octobers Whisky Magazine for the Bowmore Tempest Batch 3 (got a free copy of the Whisky Mag at Whisky Live Glasgow) i would say the general release will be in October.
Having said that the Whisky Shop has it available to pre-order and the site says "Stock arrives middle of September". If that is true surely they could let you have a sample of it at the event at the Malmaison on the 22nd Sept.
What i did notice, which surprised me is the Whisky Shop have it priced at £69.99 were the batch 2 is around £40, a very big difference. I know the Whisky Shop pricing isnt great but a £30 price rise They may struggle to sell batch 3 at this price i think. |

They will certainly struggle to sell it at £70 i would think. |

£70
So is Tempest batch 3 still a 10 year old? I would assume that it is. |

| Cheers William, i think the Tempest is not so tempting at £70 if it is still only a 10 year old and given the price of previous batches which you can still find. In fact TWE has batch 2 on offer for £38.95 at the moment |

I just heard today that unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the Bowmore event at the Malmaison on Thursday 22nd Septhas been postponed. A rescheduled date is still TBC. I was intending to go to this myself. Anyway if you know anyone who intended to go please let them know it is postponed. |
