I was hoping the .uk forum could help me out a bit. I've ask around on the .com forums for references on the exact processes involved in producing whiskey. For example, how are the oak barrels treated before introducing the spirit? I've come across some great books, but I thought you might know of some altogether different sources. I've been compiling a "making of whiskey"? section on my site and need some stronger citations Embarassed . Thanks and here's all I have so far: http://www.awhiskeydrink.com/p/art-of-distilling-whiskey.html

Whisky: Technology, Production and Marketing edited by Inge Russell is probably the best book about whisky production you can buy AFAIK. Not cheap though i think you will have to pay around £80 that is if you can get a hold of a copy.
