I wonder when we will see Ardbeg Gator this side of the water. It is no surprise they are releasing it first in the US market as it has a very American name "Gator". Obviously they are trying to get a big bite of the American market |

| I would guess we will see the Ardbeg Aligator here not long after the US release on the 16th April. I would imagine the usual mad dash to the Ardbeg website, hopefully they have that sorted now. |

Rumour is they have scraped their normal single cask bottling for feis ile but instead will be releasing 1300 bottles on the day to bring people to the distillery for the experiance and whisky not just to chase bottles.
Could it be the first public release of the new GATOR |

Could it be the first public release of the new GATOR | I would imagine that there are now many profiteers who turn up at the distilleries with no interest in anything but getting there hands on the Feis Ile bottlings. Although i am sure they would have no problem selling both the Ardbeg Alligator and a Ardbeg Feis Ile 2011. JAB, this rumour you have heard would tie in nicely with a general Ardbeg Committee release of Gator in June. Hopefully it has a sensible drinkable price. |

£50 - £60 would be nice, hopefully not another supernova price, but a supernova quality will be good. |

As far as i am aware they havent sent out any official information about the Ardbeg Alligator release.
I received some info last week about the Ardbeg tasting at the Kungliga Tennishallen in Stockholm on June 4th, i will try add some info to the site about the tasting this evening. I do suspect those attending the tasting will get the chance to taste the Ardbeg Alligator as Ardbeg says the event will involve tasting 4 Ardbeg whiskies - including 2 classics, an exciting upcoming release and the fourth is an Ardbeg they guarantee you will never have tasted before. My guess is one of these will be the Alligator.
I have added a bit about the Ardbeg Challenge Stockholm 2011 to the news section

I noticed at the bottom of the page with the form to apply to attend the Ardbeg Alligator launch
https://www.mhusa.com/projects/ardbeg/celebration2011/form.asp
It states: Ardbeg Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 57.3% Alc./Vol
I wonder if this is referring to the ABV of the Ardbeg Alligator |

| I wouldnt have noticed that Kenny. I wonder if it is a legal thing in the US, if they mention a whisky they must state the alcohol strength. We will know in a few days time i suppose. |
