Glenmorangie has unveiled the Glenmorangie Pride 1981, a 28 year old limited edition whisky which was extra-matured in Château d'Yquem Sauternes casks for ten years - the longest period any Glenmorangie whisky has ever undergone extra-maturation.
Bottled at 56.7% it is a limited edtion of 1000 decanters. It will be available worldwide, starting from 1st July 2011 priced around £2500

| this looks like and sounds like an amazing bottle of whisky shame about the price tag i would have bought one if it were £250 not £2500 |

| It certainly looks like it is an older version of this. I think it may take them a while to sell 1000 bottles at £2500 but i am sure they have done their homework at Glenmo and think there is a market out there for this whisky with this price tag. |

when you think about it you dont see many older Glenmorangies so they may well sell this one without any trouble. I think they must be quite confident they can sell it to put this price tag on it. |

If the Glenmorangie Nectar Dor with the Sauternes cask finish is anything to go by i am sure this will be very good but way out of my price range  |
