|
|
I read about this in the Metro paper this morning and have just looked it up online. Apparently Isabella's Islay is the worlds most expensive whisky, well more like the worlds most expensive whisky bottle.
Luxury Beverage Company of the United Kingdom has unveiled Isabella's Islay, the world's most luxurious whisky. They are claiming it to be the most expensive beverage product in the world as of now. The Isabella's Islay whisky is available in two editions.
The Isabella Original retails for £3.8 million ($6.2 million), and flaunts over 8500 diamonds, almost 300 rubies and the equivalent of two bars of white gold all covering a fine English Crystal decanter and the Very Old Single Malt cask strength Islay whisky inside.
Each individual Isabella Islay is handcrafted to the buyer's liking. Also available is the Isabella Special Edition, which retails for £450,000 ($740,000), and boasts the finest British craftsmanship in Crystal, White Gold and diamond lettering. The whisky inside both the editions is also available in refills.
I wonder what the whisky is |

to offer refills and then cap it at 5 is incredibly tight!
seems a bit over the top to me, Whisky > Packaging I hope no one buys it so they learn their lesson! |

Any one know what distillery it is? | The Isabella's Islay website doesnt say what the whisky is, it doesnt even give a hint. It just says
"Our whisky is single malt cask strength, with no chill filtering, no additives or colouring, it is an outstanding expression of the Islay dram, matured in casks for many years it is classed as Very Old Single Malt Whisky and is a true declaration of the finest Scotch whisky has to offer." |
