|
|
Glengoyne has launched a new limited edition 14 year old single malt which is exclusive to Marks & Spencer stores. You may have already spotted the new addition as it is already on the shelves in the wine & spirits section of Marks & Spencer stores.
This exclusive single Highland malt whisky is a vatting of first fill ex Oloroso sherry butts, first fill ex sherry hogsheads and refill sherry butts. The first fill Oloroso sherry butts gives the whisky its classic sherry character; dried fruit, Christmas richness as well as its fantastic rich dark colour and like all Glengoyne whisky, the colour of this 14 year old is 100% natural.

As i posted in reply to you
| Quote: | | Iain Weir gave me a taste of this at the Glengoyne distillery last summer, it was very good as i recall. I think they were still striking the deal with M & S at the time so he asked me not to mention it and he just wondered what i thought of it. |
It was very good, but i did sample it after sampling quite a few others that day so i wouldnt mind another go with a fresh palate to fully appreciate it. |

| Alex, £36.99 for the Glengoyne 14, M & S do offers on there whisky sometimes, so worth watching out for. The Glengoyne 10 and 12 year old are also worth a look if you havent tried Glengoyne yet although you wont find them in M & S. |

| Cheers William (and Mac) - I think I'll start with one of the younger ones since there are lots of other bottles I'd like to buy! Too bad it's not easy to come across Glengoyne in pubs and the like for a cheaper trial. |

The 40yo is also a brilliant dram but not many would be buying a bottle at over 3k!
Just lucky enough to of tried it!
But would say any single cask from glengoyne i have tried has been wonderful!
So as a special treat would recoment the 23yo single cask they currently have!

I have enjoyed everything i have had from Glengoyne, their entry level 10 & 12 year old is very drinkable but i have a soft spot for their 17 year old which always goes down very easily. I think i will have to keep saving for the Glengoyne 40 |

Currently this has £5 off i.e. £31 - although as I had a £6 off £30 spend voucher it actually only cost me £25 |
