Is any one going to this?
Bowmore and Rob Allanson, editor of Whisky Magazine, are hosting a very special whisky tasting in Glasgow on Friday the 15th of July 2011 in aid of the Bowmore Ben Nevis Challenge.
Participants will enjoy a tailored whisky tasting including some very unique limited edition whiskies from Auchentoshan and Bowmore, plus a few other special drams! Canap?s will be served before the tasting, which will be followed by a raffle and silent auction featuring some rare whiskies signed by Bowmore distillery manager Eddie MacAffer.
The Bowmore Ben Nevis Challenge supports Capability Scotland and sees teams of disabled and non-disabled people work together to take on the challenge of scaling the UK's highest peak, Ben Nevis on Saturday 20th August.
Money raised by the challenge will go to Capability Scotland to support them in their work campaigning with and supporting disabled people of all ages in Scotland at home, at work and at school.

Unfortunately i cant make it, but it is a great cause and it should be a great evening for anyone going along to support it.

John i was back home in Scotland earlier than expected and just went to buy a ticket for the tasting but it is prosponed by the look of it

Yes it is 
They will anounce a new date by the start of next week!
They are offering full refunds or if you keep your ticket they are offering a free second one to take along a friend!

Bowmore & Whisky Mag's Rob Allanson's charity whisky tasting has been rescheduled for Friday 12th August. Tickets now only £20! You'll have the opportunity to taste the Bowmore 25 Years Old and the new Auchentoshan Single Malt Whisky Valinch! And a few special ones up our sleeves! All in aid of the Bowmore Ben Nevis Challenge and Capability Scotland. Hope to see some of our Bowmore friends there.
