I hope they will reduce the number of tickets a bit for 2011 as i thought the 2010 event was great but a bit over sold, too many people packed in and i found it difficult to get near some stalls at times.

I think you have to purchase tickets almost a year ahead of the top whisky events in central Scotland now to ensure getting a ticket. Whisky an a that, Whisky Fringe and now the Glasgow Whisky Festival being the dont miss events now.

That's exactly what's stopping me from buying a ticket at the moment. Within an hour of opening all the stands were four or five deep. It gets so busy that I have spent the past two years helping out on stands at some point during the day with the staff being completely swamped.
It's still a good event and worth attending, though! _________________ http://www.thegoodspiritsco.com

They could have done with a bigger venue but unfortunately i dont think there is a bigger venue in Ayr town centre. It was busy at the stalls for a period at the 2010 event but it was the long wait in a queue for a sandwich that annoyed me about 20mins i queued for, it would help if they sorted this out but i am sure Robbies Drams know this. I will still be going, still a great event.

Whisky An' A' That VIII 2011 Masterclasses
There are two masterclasses taking place throughout the afternoon.
Tickets for each Masterclass are £12.00 per person. Spaces are limited!

Materclass Two - 3.30pm Isle of Arran Distillers
Isle of Arran Distillery Manager, James MacTaggart will talk you through different vintages which will include some old favourites along with some recent Limited Edition new releases from this award winning Island Distillery.
