Aberlour A'Bunadh batch 33. At 60.9% this was too strong to get much more than a completely bone dry finish. Didn't much like it with water, but it was ok with just one ice cube thrown in.
For the last few drams I mixed it with about the same amount of Cardhu (which I really don't like much at all) and a little Poit Dhubh which I do like.
The result was very nice indeed. Alcohol toned down enough to make it very pleasant to drink neat, but with a lot more character that the Cardhu. |

| I really can't bring myself to finish a bottle, which is a bit of an oxymoron since I'm not opening any of my new bottles until I finish an old one! At the moment I have a Glenmorangie 10 and Bowmore Enigma that are almost empty - I'm having a hard time finishing the Bowmore especially, since I really like it and it's not widely available other than in travel retail. |

Caol Ila.
And Im not sure what I make of it.
Not quite the same strength of taste as a Talisker.......and Im a little perplexed. I bought 2 bottles, and Im in no rush to open the second. |
