Can someone shed some light on this for me. Which version of this came in a black bottle with silver labels and a silver tin? I've had a search around the net for it but can't get any info on it.

| I dont think Glenfiddich Caoran Reserve with the silver label and silver tube was a different version of the whisky i think it is just a case of the packaging has changed. The packaging on the silver label/tube stated "Pure Single Malt" which is a term i think they cant use now so perhaps that is why it changed. Also it was a round tube. |

| the caoran reserve in the black bottle and the one they're passing off as caoran now are a completely different whiskey, there is no one thing the same. |

I have an old black bottle with the silver tin, and a "normal one" that has just changed colour slightly on the tin again.
I always assumed they are the same whisky, just re-packaged.
Well, Ive tried both, and they tasted the same. Sometimes the odd one tastes like youve licked an ashtray. |
