Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard today launched an excellent informative website to support its growing and increasingly popular portfolio of Single Pot Still Irish Whiskeys. The site offers visitors an insight into the rich history and heritage of this very unique whiskey style.
www.singlepotstill.com features a series of insightful films created exclusively in conjunction with renowned Irish whiskey writer and historian Peter Mulryan. Ever wondered where the "E" in Irish whiskey came from, Peter will tell you. These really are excellent videos and well worth a look.
More about the new site here:

Dont forget to sign up to "Become A Stillman" just click on The Stillhouse link on the site. Signing up is FREE and it will bestow you with the title of 'Stillman' as well as some rather nice perks - access to inside information from the Distillery, regular updates on new releases and access to special films.
Plus, when you join, they will send you a welcome pack with your exclusive Stillhouse gift, tasting note-book and some other nice goodies.

| Cheers William, I just spent the last half hour looking through the site, they have made a great job of it. Still to watch some of the videos, maybe later this evening with a wee glass of Redbreast. |

I have became an Irish Stillman.
They have made a good job of the site, very informative. Looks like we can expect more Single pot still whisky releases from Irish distillers in the future. To be honest i have only tried there Rebreast which is excellent. |

Just been enjoying the videos on the new Single Pot Still site, wish i had a single pot still whiskey to drink while watching it, i will certainly make a point of picking up some Redbreast 12 next time i am at the store, its ages since i have had it. I would love to see a more heavily sherried pot still whiskey, with the popularity on the increase we may see one yet
That is enormous looking pot stills they have at Midleton |

With the growing interest in Irish Single Pot Still whiskey I added a piece on Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey to the site yesterday
www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/irishpotstillwhiskey.htm
I also added a review of the new Redbreast 12 Year Old Cask Strength to the site yesterday.
I spent the weekend enjoying these two fine Irish ladies and a few others
Read more about them here and a tasting note for these and Midletons other single pot still whiskeys:

| The whisky specialist shops need to get there act together in the UK as out of all these only the standard Redbreast 12 and Green Spot seem to be available from UK whisky shops. I wouldnt mind trying the Powers John's Lane and definitely the new Redbreast Cask Strength. |

| I love the Redbreast 12 but wasnt so taken by the Green Spot, havent tried the others but great to see them increasing the choice of pot still whisky available although the new bottlings do seem difficult to get hold of in the UK. |
