Bowmore Unveils Islay Taste Map

In a bold move to support the Islay whisky category as a whole Bowmore has unveiled the Islay Taste Map with Martine Nouet, the ultimate companion and guide to Islay Single Malt whiskies.


In development for over a year, the map has been created in collaboration with esteemed whisky writer and Islay resident Martine Nouet. Known as the "The Queen of the Still', Martine was carried away by Islay's distinct yet varied fragrances when she first visited the island 20 years ago.

Well done to Bowmore for supporting and educating whisky drinkers about the whole Islay whisky region and what it has to offer and not just what Bowmore has to offer.

Simply click on each distillery on the map to discover their taste profiles and you can also view the google streetview for a few of the distilleries that are near a street.

Just had a wonder around Islay using the google street view.

It would be great to be able to wonder through the distilleries themselves using a 360* camera view.
