The Grill is a proper pub. No music, lots of nice ales/beers and an awesome selection of whisky
I've been in the Grill a number of times in the past but had somehow forgotten about it. It's a little gem and I will be making a point of heading in when i'm in town.
Agreed bazf - the Grill is excellent. The only problem is that it's often so busy that it can be difficult to get a seat at times. Apparently, the bar itself is one of the oldest in the country and dates back to the 18th century.
A fantastic bar with a huge whisky selection.
Best to go late afternoon/early evening when it's not too busy and spend some time chatting with the barmen who are all whisky enthusiasts.
Don't however chat up the barmaids whose average age must be about 85.....
