A recent successful planning application will see Scotland's first commercial goldmine, for many moons, come to fruition in the sleepy town of Tyndrum. To mark this historic occasion the town's famous Green Welly Stop has commisioned a first edition bottling (600 bottles) of 'Tyndrum Gold'.
I recently picked up a couple of bottles (1 to drink and 1 to keep) and wondered if any of the good folks here knew it's distillery of origin?
It's labelled as a Single Malt Scotch Whisky - Speyside - 40% vol

I haven't tasted it (yet) but would be interested to try and find out it's origin.
Cheers! |

I am not sure this would be that collectable or even worth £35.99 plus postage for an unnamed malt but it may be of more interest to those in and around the Tyndrum area. If it did state the name of the distillery it would maybe attract the attention of whisky drinkers/collectors from further afield.

Thanks Grant
I intend to have a taste this weekend, see if I can figure anything out
I'm keeping 1 bottle for posterity as I've followed the Goldmine story for the last couple of years. Agree it may not be much of a collectable in the grand scheme of things. |

| Tried it in the shop recently. A very pleasant light speyside. Very drinkable but a little pricey. |
