Simpsons Malt supply malted barley to many of the big whisky companies for distilling. It sounds like a special bottling which has been produced and bottled at the Glenrothes distillery for Simpsons. Some will consider this quite collectable and could very well be worth £100 or more depending on the age and rarity of it and i would imagine there was not many of these bottles produced at all and my guess would be it was probably only given to staff or clients and would never have been available to buy.
Does it mention an age, distillation date or bottling date on the bottle, abv on the label. |

| Hi, Thanks for your reply, yes it is given to staff and not for general sale was given to my husband for 30 years service 3 years ago but no dates on bottle apart from company date of 1862 ABV 40% , we now have been given another one for xmas both identical bottles though? seems such a waste to just have it gathering dust in my cupboard would rather it went to someone who appreciated it |

| £100 sounds like a good offer for a no age statement Glenrothes albeit a limited edition bottling |

| Is there anyone at Simpsons you could ask who may know the details of what is in the bottle. Without knowing exactly £100 is a good offer IMO. |
