Hi everyone
I was wondering if someone can help/advise me. As you can tell by my username I am new to drinking whisky. I would like to buy a bottle for the new year and dont know what would be the best. I am not looking to go over the top on my budget just up to about 35 pound. From friends I have a few opinions but would to see what people on here think. I have been told in my price range that Glenfiddich, Glenmorangie or Grants sherry cask reserve are good can somone please tell me which of these three is better or can you suggest another for my budget which is better
Many thanks for your help in advance |

| They are all very palatable. The Grants Sherry Cask is a blend unlike the other two single malts. I'd choose the Glenmorangie out of those three, but if you go for either that or the Glenfiddich you can find them for around £20 at this time of year in several of the big supermarkets. It's a good time of year to buy, but the offers can dry up after the New Year. Many more knowledgeable people than me will suggest plenty more options, but if you are new and you want a bargain you'd be hard pushed to find a better start than the Glenmorangie for £20 in Tesco or the Co-op and not too much more in Asda or Sainsbury's. |
