Glenmorangie have announced the release of Glenmorangie Artein, the third release in its Private Edition range.
Glenmorangie Artein's recipe has two thirds hand selected 15 year old whisky with a special additional third of 21 year old whisky. The spirit started its maturation in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before individually spending a period of extra maturation in Super Tuscan wine casks.
Bottled at a strength of 46%, Glenmorangie Artein will be available globally from January 2012 for around £69.99.

| You have reminded me that i have an unopened bottle of Sonnalta in in the cabinet. Hopefully this new one matches up to the quality of the Sonnalta. |

Born of stone you have got to laugh at the marketing behind these releases.
Having said that i will certainly be giving it a try as the first 2 were very good whiskies. |

I dont mind the marketing behind whisky, it has its place and iam sure that it does sell whisky. It is not really aimed at us.
Like others the Sonnalta has been my favaourite so far but i will certainly give this a go some time although the price seems to be creeping up but arent they all. |
