Barranows Whisky and cigar lounge in Victoria (Australia) is superb!

After recently winning 2008 Best whisky bar in Australia, the owners are off the some castle in scotland courtesy of Diageo (apparently this castle has a library but not books but whiskys!)

Either way, they conduct regular tastings, with great special guests (lorne Mckiillop for example) Their commitment to good whisky is inspiring!

You are very lucky to still have a bar you can visit where you can still enjoy a cigar with your whisky, the only way to enjoy a cigar with your whisky now in Scotland is in the comfort of your own home but unfortunately my personal bar at home does not have the extensive selection of whiskies which you can find in a decent whisky bar. Interesting that you can still smoke in a bar in Australia, i wonder for how much longer will you be able to do this.

its certainly not the norm... you dont actually smoke in the bar anymore you go out the back door to smoke... better than completely banned
