| £500 for the Bowmore 1983 seems like a lot, perhaps it is a 1 litre bottle as it is for travel retail |

Is the 83 the follow up to the 81 and 82 vintages- looks like I'll need a holiday then to complete the set.

I am waiting on Bowmore getting back to me with more info on all 3 of these bottles including whether the 1983 travel retail bottle is connected to the 1981 & 1982 vintages.
I will let you know as soon as i hear _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

I got some more info on the 3 new Bowmore travel retail bottles earlier today.
Bowmore Springtide and Bowmore 1983 are both 70cl bottles and the Bowmore100 Degrees Proof is a 1 litre bottle.
Bowmore 100 Degrees Proof:
57.1% ABV
Non chill-filtered
Small batch release
Non aged
Bowmore Springtide:Cask strength
Non chill-filtered
ABV won't be confirmed for another couple of weeks when it gets bottled but it's definitely cask strength.
Non aged
Bowmore 1983:
Limited edition of fewer than 200 bottles globally
Non chill-filtered
Cask strength 55.6% ABV
Sorry still dont know if it is related to the Bowmore 1981 & 1982 vintages or even the 100 bottles of Bowmore 1983 they released for the 2011 Feis ile
I will let you know if i hear anything else.

Only 200 bottles of the 1983, well that does explain the price tag. I wonder if it is the same whisky as the Bowmore 1983 2011 Feis ile bottling as there was only 100 of these bottles, so where did the rest of the whisky go from the Feis ile cask |

| It could be related to the Bowmore 1983 2011 Feis ile bottling |

| I have been told that it will not be availiable until may, so it might even be related to the 2012 feis bottle? |

I tasted 2 of the new Bowmore travel retail bottles this week and have added a piece to the site about them:
Bowmore Spring Tide
This is a very different style Bowmore but in a very good way, absolutely delicious.
Read more here: www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/bowmorespringtide.htm
Bowmore 100 Degrees Proof
I could have nosed this one all day long. A great example of how good Bowmore can be.
