My husband is an ex employee of Diageo and we have a few bottles of Directors Blend, Port Dundas Limited Edtion Single Grain, and a decanter gift of blended whisky celebrating
100 million litres in June 2005. Some of these items were gifts only to employees and are not available on the open market.
These bottles are just taking up space and I wondered if you could give me advice regarding the best way to sell them. I am a bit unsure of Ebay etc.

Thank you

There are a few specialist whisky auctions you could use, these are:

Mctears in Glasgow www.mctears.co.uk/departments/whisky-wine-port.aspx

Bonhams in Edinburgh, there next whisky auction is 27th June www.bonhams.com/auctions/19866/

Scotch Whisky Auctions, this is a online whisky auction website which is based in Glasgow. www.scotchwhiskyauctions.com

If you contact them all with the details of all your bottles i am sure they will be happy to give you an estimate of what they may be worth and also the costs and all the info you need to sell them via there auctions

Thanks for reply. Spoken with someone from McTears so going to take my collection in next week for June auction.

He reckons that two of the bottles have never been on auctioned before, so hopefully should generate some interest and the remainder I have can be auctioned at later date.

I always take pictures of everything before I put it in auction, helps if the worst should happen. Just a thought.
