A dentist friend of mine was invited to his neighbor's house for a dram of single malt scotch. The dentist doesn't know too much about whisky but noted that his neighbor brought out a bottle of 50 year old single malt scotch. It obviously wasn't Glenfiddich 50. He couldn't remember the name of the bottle though it did say 50 years. What could it be? The bottle was almost empty. I asked him to ask his friend to keep the bottle when it's finished and not to throw it out. Any guesses as to what it might be? It's really puzzling me.
It could be anything really, if you have a look over at The Whisky Exchange they currently have 12 bottles of 50 year old. All 50 year old whisky will be very limited releases as there isnt much left in a barrel after 50 years

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many 50 yr. old varieties. I'll check out your suggestion.
