Balvenie Tun 1401 Batch 5 Released

Following on from the success of the first 4 batches of The Balvenie Tun 1401, Balvenie have just released the 5th batch. This time it is a single malt married from just nine casks of the distillery's characteristic spirit.

I have personally had batch 1, 2 and 4 and all were outstanding and i have no doubt that batch 5 will be of the same quality. The Balvenie Tun 1401 Batch 5 has an ABV of 50.1% and unlike previous batches it will be available worldwide, from June 2012 at an RRP of £160.99.

Incidentally you can still find batch 4 (which was exclusive to travel retail) at some travel retail shops, it was in Glasgow airport when i passed through last week.

I have only had batch 2 and i have to say it was excellent, i was intending to keep it in the collection but couldnt resist opening it but i am pleased that i did.
